The University of Klagenfurt (AAU) is a young, vibrant, and innovative university located in the Austrian state of Carinthia – a meeting point of three cultures at the Slovenian-Italian border.

The University of Klagenfurt serves as a hub for the entire Alps-Adriatic region in terms of knowledge acquisition, exchange, and transfer.

The university’s lively and diverse atmosphere, combined with its spirit of openness, makes it a cultural centre of the region. In line with its mission statement, one of the University of Klagenfurt’s key aims is to push boundaries through research, teaching, and numerous active cooperation projects within the region.

The university is divided into four faculties: The Faculty of Technical Sciences, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Management, Economics and Law, and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Languages and Literature.

At present, the university offers 22 Bachelor’s programmes, 30 Master’s programmes, 14 teacher training courses, and 5 doctoral programmes. Currently, around 13,300 students are enrolled at the University of Klagenfurt.
